All sales are subject exclusively and wholly to our Terms and Conditions of Sale. The use of this website is subject to our Terms and Conditions of Use. By viewing our website, or by placing an order with us, you warrant that you agree fully with these terms ...

The Sale of Knives ...
In the United Kingdom it is an offence for any person under the age of 18 years to purchase a knife, or attempt to purchase a knife. We shall only supply knives and related equipment to customers over the age of 18 years. This has always been our policy, whether or not it is the law. The sale of knives is regulated by the Laws of England, and subject exclusively to our Terms & Conditions of Sale, a full copy of which is available upon request.

We reserve the right to refuse a sale if we have reasonable cause to believe that the prospective customer is below the age of 18 years, or if we believe that the supply of goods to the prospective customer may infringe the Laws of England or present an unacceptable and reasonably indentifiable potential risk to the safety of others.

The law requires that we take every reasonable precaution to ensure that knives are not sold to persons under the age of 18 years. We reserve the right to use any legal method open to us to establish a genuine age of potential customers in accordance with, and compliance of, the Offensive Weapons Act 1996. This may include a search of publicly available information, such as the Electoral Roll or Directory Enquiries. The results of any such search will be held in the strictest of confidence solely for the purpose of ensuring the validity of age declarations. We will not hold or store in any medium the results of any such search, merely holding an indication on our records that a search has been made for the purposes of age validation.

In the event that we are unable to identify the genuine age of a potential customer we may request additional information from you. Often, this information can be supplied online in a very informal and non invasive manner. However, on occasions we may need to request physical proof such as a copy of a passport or driving licence. This information will be held in the strictest of confidence solely for the purpose of ensuring the validity of age declarations.

Prices & Specification ...
We have taken every effort to ensure that the graphical representations of the products offerred for sale, and their dimensions & description, are an accurate reflection of the goods themselves. Errors & omissions are exempt. Prices are correct at the time of printing, but are subject to change over time. If prices do change, we will advise you when you order. Special offer prices only valid whilst current stocks last. Where used, the terms "Retail Price" or "Normal Price" refer to our company retail or normal price, as previously published on our websites, newsletters, electronic mailings or promotional literature. We are an independent retailer, and because our products are often imported from other countries using differing currencies, we do not refer to manufacturers retail pricing.

Delivering Your Order ...
We will make every effort to ensure that we deliver your order in a timely manner, but we will not be held responsible for industrial disputes, adverse weather conditions, busy times of the year, or other circumstances which are beyond our reasonable control. We pack our orders extremely carefully to prevent injury during transit, and our packaging does not contain any indication of the contents unless we are legally obliged to do so (for Customs reasons for instance).

For orders paid for with a credit or debit card, some banks may require that we only send your order to the registered cardholders address. We are obliged to follow bank rules regarding CNP (Customer Not Present) orders and in some circumstances we may decline your request to send the goods to your alternative postal despatch address.

Sometimes errors do occur, and in the unlikely event that your order is short of a particular item, please contact us within 16 days so that we may fulfill your order to completion. If you have received an incorrect item in your order, please return the item to us in accordance with our 16-day money back guarantee and we will replace the item with the correct item you purchased. We will also refund the postage cost to you of returning items sent out in error by us. Sadly we cannot entertain claims for shortages and errors after the expiration of our 16-day money back guarantee period.

International Orders ...
Orders for shipping outside of the United Kingdom are subject to these additional Terms and Conditions. All charges will be made solely in British Pounds Sterling. Where a price is indicated on our website is illustrated in any other currency, this converted price is approximate and should be referred to as an estimated guideline only. Prospective customers should be aware that charges made to them will almost certainly differ slightly from the converted prices shown on our website.

Customers warrant that they will be fully responsible for any additional charges that they may incur, including but not limited to additional credit card charges, local levies, taxes, duties or other charges associated with their country. It is the customers responsibility to ensure that any order placed with us complies with their own countries laws. We will not be held responsible for the actions of Customs officials or any other persons outside of the United Kingdom, or any additional charge or loss caused by the intervention of Customs or other representative governing bodies. Placing an order indicates acceptance of our Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Warranty ...
Goods are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for one calendar year from the date of purchase. We reserve the right to repair the product or replace it, or to replace it with an item of similar value should the original item be discontinued from our product line.

Neglect, abuse, normal wear & tear, corrosion, tip breakage, accidental damage, spoilage, disassembly, sharpening, or loss (or partial loss) are excluded. Liability arising from a manufacturers lifetime warranty rests solely with the manufacturer, and we will not be held liable for any costs howsoever caused.

Adult Collectable & Display Knives ...
Knives are only sold in accordance with the Laws of England for legitimate recreational and professional field use, or as collectable curios. Collectable and display knives are offered for sale purely and solely as collectable curios only, based on their collectable value, antiquity, design, decorative or historical interest, and the name, look or design of any knife in no way implies or suggests that it is suitable for any other purpose.

This website has been developed in accordance with the Knives Act 1997 which sets down regulations for the way in which knives may be advertised. Knives illustrated in fantasy, display, or some military categories are offerred for sale solely as collectable curios under Section 21 (part 3, sub sections 1(a) part (ii) and 1(b) ), and are not warranted for use. For more information on knife law please visit the law section of our online Knife Guide by clicking here.

Military Knives ...
We have supplied the Ministry of Defence under Her Majesty's Defence Contract (DefCon), the Metropolitan Police Anti-Terrorist Unit, and many other individual Police officers and serving members of our armed forces. Some of our knives are promoted for use solely by these individuals or for sale as collectable curios under Section 21 of the Knives Act 1997 (part 3, sub sections 1(a) part (ii) and 1(b) ).

We take every reasonable care to ensure that these items are marketed in a responsible manner, appropriate to a potential serving military or Police audience. Because of the global nature of our market, some manufacturers will adopt names for their products which we consider are unnecessarily aggressive in nature. We reserve the right to change or adapt designated model names and descriptions where we consider it prudent to do so, in our sole opinion and discretion. Where we feel we are unable to change a name, for instance in cases where the name forms an important part of the item itself, or where a change may be considered misleading, we will always endeavour to explain why we have used the manufacturers designation.

Knife Law ...
English knife law is an exceptionally complex web of legislation in the United Kingdom stretching back more than 50 years. Because of the nature of our business we have a great deal of experience with legislation in the UK. However, we are not in any way legally qualified and legal information contained on our website, or referred to on our website, is merely our understanding of the law and should not be relied upon in a court of law. Should you require legal advice or information that can relied upon in a court of law please consult the services of a registered solicitor or legal professional. You can find more information on knife law, please visit the law section of our online Knife Guide by clicking here.

Knife Safety ...
Your knife is a tool, treat it with care and use it with respect. A knife is an inanimate object ... it won't hurt you. But a blunt or carelessly handled knife can cause injury. Keep a keen edge on your blade and exercise caution when sharpening. Use your knife with due care and attention, as you would with any other tool, and never use a knife for a purpose for which it is not intended nor specifically designed.

Never threaten anybody with a knife (even as a joke), as this is a serious Criminal Offence. And never leave your knife where it may be accessible to a child, and keep it stored securely: preferably in a sheath or case. It is your responsibility to ensure that you use your knife with due care and attention. We will not be held liable or responsible for any injury or damage howsoever caused.

We are always happy to provide information for the safe use and storage of knives. You could start by reading our 10 steps of Knife Etiquette in the Knife Guide by clicking here. If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

The knives we sell are not toys, and not suitable for use by children. We have taken steps to ensure that this website is not accessible to minors. This includes registering this website with RASC, Cybersitter and NetNanny. As parents and guardians, please ensure that you do not allow your children unauthorised access to this site.
